The Dream Team

A local team of creatives brought this project to life. Meet them below.

Lisa Schyck brings over 20-years of experience working in Human Resources and Organizational development. Her resume includes some of Detroits’ most prestigious multi-national automotive industry technical and engineering businesses. She holds a Master’s degree in Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Development. She studied at The Interior Design Institute and is currently enrolled in design courses at OTIS, Los Angeles.  The COVID pandemic and her move to the Desert in 2020 inspired her to start her own interior design business, with multiple projects completed in Los Angeles and the desert.

Lisa considers herself a life-long student and has undertaken a deeply personal education in Judaic Studies, Chassidic and mystical teachings.  She has been sober and in recovery since 2015. Her deepening spiritual education has inspired a longing to touch as many souls by helping those in need and lifting up her community by making it a better place. In Hebrew the expression is Tikkun Olam! Which means “to repair the world.” Her goal for The Joshua Tree Dream is to support our local desert social-impact organizations and the people of the Morongo Basin. Portions of the proceeds from the sale of the upcoming “Glimpses of the Joshua Tree Dream” will be gifted back to the community to help people and organizations here in the high desert.
